A declaration is a base type followed by a list of declarators

int *x[];

The list of declarators here is the variable name, the asterisk and the square brackets. The declarators tell more about the type and gives another type related to the base type.

decltype(exp), if exp is an lvalue, the deducted type will be a reference to a type.
